10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
10.1 Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute related to them or your use of the site are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
10.2 Courts at Delhi
You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site, subject to the dispute resolution process below where applicable.
10.3 Initial Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, the parties should attempt to resolve disputes informally. You may contact us through our contact page or at hello@legalrepublic.in.
10.4 Mediation
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties may attempt mediation before a mutually agreed mediator. Unless otherwise agreed, mediation costs will be shared equally.
10.5 Arbitration
If mediation is unsuccessful or the parties cannot agree on a mediator, the dispute may be resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement. The seat and venue of arbitration will be Delhi, India, and the language will be English.
10.6 Litigation
If arbitration is not applicable or the parties are otherwise entitled to approach court, proceedings may be brought before courts of competent jurisdiction in Delhi, India.
10.7 Limitation of Claims
Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to these Terms or the site must be filed within one year after the claim arose, unless a longer period is mandatorily required by applicable law.
